How to permanently show Folder pane

Suddenly today my folder pane is hidden by default. I have not changed any settings. I can go to View>Layout>Folder pane>Show and it will pop up but it will disappear if I click anywhere but the folder pane. I need to see the folder pane all the time. How can I change this? (And why did it change itself?)

Mine doesn't even have the three bars. When you display the folders pane though, there's a little pin icon in the top right corner of it. Click on that and your folders pane will stay open.

Thank you, Luiz! Changing the zoom level fixed this issue for me!

I fixed it using "settings-->-->mail-->layout-->Message Height-->Always use Multiple Rows"

Maybe that will help someone else? Especially if you're using it on a big screen.
