Configuring preferences and options in Outlook on the web for business
WHERE UNDER HOME TAB?
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Suddenly today my folder pane is hidden by default. I have not changed any settings. I can go to View>Layout>Folder pane>Show and it will pop up but it will disappear if I click anywhere but the folder pane. I need to see the folder pane all the time. How can I change this? (And why did it change itself?)

WHERE UNDER HOME TAB?
Boy - they certainly kept that well-hidden.
Thank you for the guidance.
If yours is like mine, just to the left of the word "Home" are three lines. Click that.

To be clear, are you using the Outlook app, or Outlook on the web via a browser like Firefox or Safari?
I use Outlook on the web (don't like the app) and when I cleared my cache and cookies the problem was solved.
They reorganized the layout for no good reason, making it harder to figure out where to change various settings.
So, on the web, you go to the top left menu options and click on "View". Then right underneath are a list of menu options: you click on "Layout", and the option to show or hide the folder pane is there.
After I cleared the cache the folder pane stayed open after I closed an reopened the browser.
Anyway, hope that helps. If you're using the app, good luck.
