How to permanently show Folder pane

Suddenly today my folder pane is hidden by default. I have not changed any settings. I can go to View>Layout>Folder pane>Show and it will pop up but it will disappear if I click anywhere but the folder pane. I need to see the folder pane all the time. How can I change this? (And why did it change itself?)

Those 3 little stripes to the left of the Home button are flaky. First they only popped up the folder pane momentarily, next day they kept it open permanently; yet another day the folder pane is gone again. Reloading the page in the browser sometimes resolves it, sometimes it doesn't.

I am using Chrome on Windows 11.

Try this - right click, then click on 'reading mode - new'

    Hello!

I can find the navigation pane for the folders, but nothing allows me keep the view that way. Pressing on the 3 horizontal lines only gives me a one off view of the folder panel.

I want it on all the time.

    Any hot tips?

    Thanks so much!
