How to permanently show Folder pane

Suddenly today my folder pane is hidden by default. I have not changed any settings. I can go to View>Layout>Folder pane>Show and it will pop up but it will disappear if I click anywhere but the folder pane. I need to see the folder pane all the time. How can I change this? (And why did it change itself?)

2024-07-12T22:41:00+00:00 Mine doesn't even have the three bars. When you display the folders pane though, there's a little pin icon in the top right corner of it. Click on that and your folders pane will stay open.
