I have recurring client appointments, which I edit if eg. there is a cancellation or a no-show. I need to keep this history.
If I want to reschedule Client X to a different time going forward, then my only option appears to be changing the end date of the recurring series and starting a new one. But that removes all changes made to earlier occurrences.
The only other "solution" seems to be downloading a csv, and uploading it again - what a palaver. Surely there must be an easier way to edit "all occurrences from this point onwards" as you can in the Google calendar?
I can see that this issue has been raised as far back as 2016 - what do we have to do to get it on the wishlist for the next upgrade to Outlook?
Come on Microsoft - Google can do this, so why can't you?

(Also curious why Outlook doesn't appear under the list of MS 365 & Office apps ??)

I read the first two solution offered by the first two techs and stopped a couple of times. This time I read further and found your solution. Like others I have been looking for a solution to this for several years. It was very frustrating, but this solution is easy and effective. I wish there could be a way to star your response so that it shows at the top of the page as favorite or resolved or something. I hope others see your solution, too!
On a related note, I have noticed that there are several features that the website view has that the desktop client does not have. As much as I would like to exclusively use the desktop version, I expect Microsoft will be phasing this out in the future.
THIS WORKED! Thank you!! Best new tip I've learned in a while!
This works - simple and easy - unsure why functionality has not been carried back into the desktop app version - wishlist for sure (going into outlook online shouldn't be necessary).
