Using Classic Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
Hi Simon
My solution here has been to use the Outlook web version for my calendar. You then have the option to open/edit
* this event
* this and following events
* the entire series
Outlook web version does NOT change the previous events, unlike the desktop version.
So I now have my Outlook calendar as a tab in my browser, but use all the other Outlook functions in the desktop version. The web version updates the desktop version with all the changes you make so everything is synced.
Don't know why Microsoft can't make the desktop version do what the web version can, but for now they have different functionality. It's a pain, but it is solvable with this workaround.
Hope this helps.
