Where is the send and receive button in outlook (New Outlook for Windows)

Amen! (and Amen because in the awesomeness of these forums I just discovered require a minimum of six characters) lol

It's worse than the Classic by 10/5/2023. It sometimes loses IMAP folder access. Can't force a manual sync with an IMAP server because there's no button for it. Auto-sync might work ONCE, then misbehaves thereafter, because apparently Microsoft Cloud is causing unnecessary interference somewhere that my ISP does NOT approve of. Sometimes I can remove an IMAP account and add it back and the client will somewhat work okay for a few moments, then BAM, right back to choking and misbehaving. If I try to add an account manually with advanced settings, then I can't see any of the security protocol options and have to guess at them. So far I've figured out the options are, Auto SSL/TLS, StartTLS only, an NONE (not good). If you know the account runs better with a SSL-only port on SMTP, then you're screwed there as well, because it only defaults to StartTLS (an erroneous assumption from "none") and won't send the email. Just like FLUKE says - It's absurd!

 I'll tell you what. Here's what I've decided to do. - Uninstall all Outlook Mail, forget it, and return to using my ISP's webmail page. Probably what I should've been doing the whole time anyway. They've got glitches too (cosmetic), but it's nothing like this mess.

This is so typical of these forums and the "MVPs." They reply whether they know the answer or not. I believe that they are constantly rated, and they are rated on quantity not quality. It's amazing to me that we are on the FIFTH page of this thread, and the answers are still useless. If you don't know the answer, DON'T RESPOND. If that happened we'd still be on page one. From the non-existent sync button above, to the responses that "offline" support is coming, when this issue has absolutely nothing to do with being online or offline. It's a simple matter of having a sync or send/receive button that currently exists in the old outlook as well as the current windows mail that's being phased out. It boggles my mind that microsoft has so much difficulty getting email right. Windows Live Mail was the last client that was rock solid and not filled with dozens of useless tweaks and settings like Outlook.

I am sorry, but where exactly in the article suggested you treat this topic? I found nothing there relating to what we are discussing here...

In the "New Outlook" desktop version, the "Send/Receive All Folders" button has been replaced by a new feature called "Sync This Folder." To synchronize all folders, including your inbox, sent items, and other folders, you can follow these steps:

* Click on the "Send/Receive" tab in the ribbon at the top of the screen.

* Click on the "Sync This Folder" dropdown menu.

* Select "All Accounts" to synchronize all folders for all of your email accounts, or select a specific email account to synchronize folders for only that account.

Those instructions are gibberish. First you say that the new Outlook does not have a send/receive button and then to remedy that you say to select the send/receive button. Pretzel logic. You are not reading the posts very well. They are saying that there is NO send/receive button and where in the blazes did it go? EDIT: This is all online as well.

Here is a perfect example. I just noticed an email on my phone, that was received FIFTY FIVE minutes ago (at the time), that still was not on my outlook list. I tried clicking other folders, settings, anything to try and get it to refresh to no avail. Finally I shut Outlook down and restarted it, and VOILA there was the almost one hour old email, and outlook was online the entire time. We need a send/receive option.
