The type of account will decide how often new e-mail is retrieved from the server, as I am sure you already know. Exchange accounts are synchronized once per minute, according to https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/office/sync-basics-what-you-can-and-cannot-sync-5537d587-4930-4ac2-b044-3568509b1294. The New Outlook has no additional options for this at the moment. The feedback portal is at https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/forum/89a8afa3-2e1c-ec11-b6e7-0022481f8472.

Microsoft won't see your complaint here; most contributors in the forums are volunteers (and we are certainly not in a decision making capacity with Microsoft). You can use the feedback portal at https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/forum/89a8afa3-2e1c-ec11-b6e7-0022481f8472.

If you see that the Inbox is not updating automatically, please submit an In App ticket (Help, Support). The In App Support Team raised this as a top priority with the Product Team and a lot of work has been done to address the issue.

Some of the latest changes include:

Fixed issues that were delaying reconnect, for example after coming out of Sleep Mode on the computer

Updated sync prioritization to sync inbox first

Reload to get fresh data from the service more quickly

If there are still issues, then submitting a ticket helps get it investigated so any new fixes can be implemented. For example, if you are seeing dramatic difference receiving on your mobile device compared to New Outlook.

Nope. Tried that. Both of the Outlook options try to bring up New Outlook, which isn't working.

Are you running a preview (Insider) version of Office? Here, I am on version 2305 (running under Windows 11), and I can still open the older, classic Outlook.
