I have a new MBP M1, with fresh Monterey. I moved my data with the assistant from the old MBP, I have all the letters in Outlook (v15.46), but search in Outlook not works, it gives a "No results found" message in all folders. Old methods for reindex Spotlight is not working (eg. add and remove Main Profile to Spotlight). How can I solve this problem? Thanks

Today I deleted the Main Profile, remove all mail accounts, and made a new profile, and add a mail address. But the search still not works.

Same here. New Outlook 16.56 performs searches but the autofill address bar does not work. Cannot access Outlook contacts. It just does nothing like it's not a function of the application.

Astounding! You pay good money for a product and basic functions are inoperable. Other than this forum, how is one to know there is a fix? This is a sorry way to do business. If I had a viable option I'd be gone!

I'm happy to report that my problem is now (finally!) fixed. I have a M1 Max 16" MacBook Pro running Monterey 12.1, and have been fighting this No Search issue in Outlook for both Contacts and emails. Following the instructions from a previous post, I changed my Update Channel in Preferences within Microsoft AutoUpdate to "Current Channel (Preview)". This found an update available that I downloaded and installed. I'm now on Outlook 16.57 (22010502), and Search function has been completely restored for both Contacts and emails.

I have pretty month the same issue, a prior Mac running fine on Big Sur and a high new Mac with the M1 chip that cannot search. I keep going to the old computer to search. The fix that partially works is the run Outlook in the Beta version. This is seems to work.

the approach is in one of the prior replies

    Sara:

Does the contacts function work? How about the autofill in the address bar? When I switched to New Outlook I could search, but no longer have contacts. Fortunately I have a separate database with email addresses. Otherwise I'd be royally screwed!

    Bill,

MS says they know about the problem and are working on a fix. Still it is such a shame that a big company like MS treats it customers so badly.
