I have a new MBP M1, with fresh Monterey. I moved my data with the assistant from the old MBP, I have all the letters in Outlook (v15.46), but search in Outlook not works, it gives a "No results found" message in all folders. Old methods for reindex Spotlight is not working (eg. add and remove Main Profile to Spotlight). How can I solve this problem? Thanks

Today I deleted the Main Profile, remove all mail accounts, and made a new profile, and add a mail address. But the search still not works.

MS just informed me that they do not have a fix for the address book issue yet. Can you believe it?

This is not a solution, but maybe it may help someone or progress the case in some way.

I have been "punting" while this debacle is supposedly in the process of being resolved.

That is, I have been searching in Finder to find certain emails as the need arises.

However, I noticed that, if I click on an email file in the Finder search results and Outlook opens the email, then Outlook will then be able to see & find that email in the Outlook search results. I then tried opening 64 emails all at once and that also worked in terms of adding more search results in Outlook.

Unfortunately, for some reason, these Outlook search results seemed to show up only while I had my search word typed in Outlook. After I deleted the search word, the results disappeared as expected, but would not reappear when the same search word was re-typed. Very strange.

I am not sure how this tidbit might be exploited as even a temporary work-around. Maybe it will help to find a certain email since the preview will at least be visible as long as the results are still showing.

HERE IS THE SOLUTION THAT WORKED FOR ME THAT I GOT FROM MS:

We need to delete the Gmail account and re-add it back. So please follow the steps below:

    1. Navigate to Outlook menu bar at the top of the screen
    2. Click on "Tools" -- "Accounts" and click on the '-' sign towards bottom left and when prompted, click on Remove from All Devices.
    3. Click on the "+" sign
    4. Type in the email address and click on "Continue"
    5. Click on the "Not (Google/Yahoo/iCloud/IMAP)?" on the top right of the next window which appears
    6. Toggle the switch next to "Sync with Microsoft Cloud", so it turns to gray from blue
    7. After which, select "IMAP"
    8. Type in your password for the email account
    9. Click on "Add Account"
