Using older versions of Outlook for Mac for personal email and calendar
Bill,
MS says they know about the problem and are working on a fix. Still it is such a shame that a big company like MS treats it customers so badly.

I have a new MBP M1, with fresh Monterey. I moved my data with the assistant from the old MBP, I have all the letters in Outlook (v15.46), but search in Outlook not works, it gives a "No results found" message in all folders. Old methods for reindex Spotlight is not working (eg. add and remove Main Profile to Spotlight). How can I solve this problem? Thanks
Today I deleted the Main Profile, remove all mail accounts, and made a new profile, and add a mail address. But the search still not works.

I'm happy to report that my problem is now (finally!) fixed. I have a M1 Max 16" MacBook Pro running Monterey 12.1, and have been fighting this No Search issue in Outlook for both Contacts and emails. Following the instructions from a previous post, I changed my Update Channel in Preferences within Microsoft AutoUpdate to "Current Channel (Preview)". This found an update available that I downloaded and installed. I'm now on Outlook 16.57 (22010502), and Search function has been completely restored for both Contacts and emails.
Thank you to those who have asked this question. Like Rebecca, the search feature was working fine until I did the last update to Monterey two or three days ago. The search feature works with the online version, but it does not on my MacBook Pro laptop version. I have tried to remove the information from Spotlight under Privacy, but nothing was there. I wanted to add the link I've seen in answers, but it was for Outlook 16, 19, or 21, but not 365. I am very eager to get this fixed. Your help is appreciated because I cannot find any other options.
Hi Rebecca,
I have tried "New Outlook" it works fantastically for search option but the other functions like "Notes", "to do" get worst in this version. one single NOTE get divided in 2-3 parts so that is so pathetic experience for user. So do you have any solution for that?
However, I would like to add that, even after updation to Monterey 3 months back, the search option was working nicely but 3 days back, I got my OS (Monetery) reinstalled from apple service centre and then reinstalled OUTLOOK and then this "search error" got started so I am so surprised .
I have tried all the ways suggested on google but no success, so I really appreciate if you give a best and workable solution for the same.
Thanks in advance.
Hi ImreMorocz,
According to your description, you can’t search in Outlook and you have already re-indexed Spotlight. There are many other reasons for Outlook Search not working such as the wrong profile name and so on. You can try following steps according to Outlook for Mac search returns "No Results," and task items are not displayed (microsoft.com) and check whether it will work or not.
If nothing works, you can provide me some screenshots about where & what steps you tried and the result of typing something in search blanks. I will test for you.
Regards,
Rebecca
