I have a new MBP M1, with fresh Monterey. I moved my data with the assistant from the old MBP, I have all the letters in Outlook (v15.46), but search in Outlook not works, it gives a "No results found" message in all folders. Old methods for reindex Spotlight is not working (eg. add and remove Main Profile to Spotlight). How can I solve this problem? Thanks

Today I deleted the Main Profile, remove all mail accounts, and made a new profile, and add a mail address. But the search still not works.

    Quick fix:

I can confirm that removing an Active Directory / Exchange account and adding it again (without having to change to the new Outlook!) restores the search index and makes it possible to search in outlook. The method to do this is:

    1. Tools->Accounts, select the account you want indexed and remove it with the "-"
    • Keep in mind that this takes a moment and emails that are not on the server would be removed
    1. Select the "+" sign from the Tools->Accounts dialog and re-Add the account, logging in as necessary (though your credentials would remain if you had them cached with Keychain)

Now select your inbox and the search should be restored as it forces the search index to be rebuilt based on the "new" emails being loaded.

I had the newest Outlook for Mac -not O365 and I had the “new Outlook” toggle.

I have the new MacBook Pro and ordered Outlook at the same time.

If I delete my account, is there a chance I will lose or lose track of all my emails? Or is this a method to restore completely? BTW - my present setting delete emails from the Comcast server after reading. So there is no resource or cloud for me.

Correction. Must have been a display issue. It works fine "Offline" but not "Online"

I'm not a technical type but was having similar issues with Outlook for Mac running Monterey with an IMAP email account. I took the outlook account "offline" and the search function worked fine. When I took it back "online" it, so far, appears to continue to work.
