When I receive pop-up email notifications through Outlook, I used to be able to just click on the pop-up and it would open the email message. When I click on the notification now, nothing happens except that the notification goes away. In addition, subsequent emails that come in populate a notification but the notification is the same one that I previously received (for example, if the first email I received upon opening Outlook was from Sender A, I will get a notification from Sender A and clicking on that does not open the email. When I get an email from Sender B, I get another notification but it is the same notification as I received from Sender A; again, clicking on it does nothing except to dismiss the notification). If I instead click "dismiss" on the notification, then the new sender's information on the subsequent notification will be accurate.
Can this be fixed? How can I again get the email message to appear when I click on the email notification?

Same issue here, driving me nuts, and no, I am not going to create a new profile. Clearly you introduced a bug, why not just fix it?

In fact, I cannot reproduce this scenario, so it is not a bug.
I suggest you follow the instructions I mentioned above, so that we can narrow down the cause of problem. Sometimes, the root cause of the problem is widespread and uncertain, we can only troubleshoot it gradually. We truly appreciate your time and understanding.

You can't reproduce the problem?? When you get an email do you see the little Windows notification popup that gets displayed in the bottom right hand corner?? When you click on it, does it bring up the email for you? It doesn't for the rest of us.
The computer you're "testing" this on, was it freshly installed or was it upgraded along with all the other **** and upgrades MS pushes out like the rest of us? That's probably why you can't reproduce. I'm on Windows version 1903.
Yes, it works perfectly on my computer. And I’m on Windows 1909, installed on 1/15/2020.

I have the same issue and it appears to be a Windows Notification issue as opposed to an Outlook issue. I say that because I can't click on ANY notification and get it to open. When the notification appears, there are three options, "delete," "flag," or "dismiss". If I click on it, it should open the email, which is the whole point in the notification. If I click on it, it goes away, so what is the point of clicking "dismiss". It used to work and now it doesn't which leads me to believe it's a glitch in the recent update.
