Inbox Email Count in New Outlook for Mac

In the latest update of Outlook for Mac I can no longer see a count of the number of emails in my inbox.  Is there a way to get it back?

    Just trying to switch to Outlook for mac and I can't fathom that total inbox count is not here. Unreal.

    I was able to see the total email count by clicking on the first email, doing aa Ctrl-A or Edit -> Select All and the total number of emails (conversations) is displayed.

    The fact that 4 years later this is still not available is a disaster. I cannot understand that decades of experience with this productivity tool has lead to such a poor product.

    And i am not even elaborating on “clutter”, the 75% false detection of spam, the horrendous idea of ‘focused inbox’ and many other total failures. Is it so difficult to create an email program that sends and receives email without the other nonsense i never asked for?

    You can hover over the Inbox to see the count of emails in your Inbox (works for any folder), but agree I totally miss it not being in the footer. :(

    The inability to see total items in the current folder makes it impossible to be productive. Also, giving a count of the number of selected messages is important. When I select a range of messages, I need to know how many I have before, for example moving or deleting them.

    I can't perform basic Inbox management as I've been doing for decades. In software "COUNT" is as basic as breathing. Please fix this now.
