In the latest update of Outlook for Mac I can no longer see a count of the number of emails in my inbox. Is there a way to get it back?

It's ridiculous that this hasn't been fixed. I have reverted back to the old version again. Seeing the total number of emails in my inbox is crucial.
Well, here we are six months later and now that I have stepped up to to an M1 MacBook, I am stuck using "new" Outlook (btw, when using "old" Outlook in Monterey, the search function did not work). Not seeing the total message count in each of my mailboxes is a major disappointment (trying to keep it clean and calm here...) to me. Not knowing how many messages are in a box impedes my workflow, priority setting, productivity, and general mood. How can you, MS, think this is a convenient feature for its users?
Please, please, please fix this and return what has always been there before.
Agreed - this is a glaring omission. Along with many other glaring omissions in Outlook Mac.

Microsoft overlooks Mac users AGAIN! Why take away an important key feature in what is supposed to be a software UPdate?
I reverted to the old version but have been forced to switch to the new version this morning. Beyond annoying - please fix this Microsoft.
