Using older versions of Outlook for Mac for personal email and calendar
Another issue I have with New Outlook is that I can't set up contact lists. Does anyone know how to do that?

In the latest update of Outlook for Mac I can no longer see a count of the number of emails in my inbox. Is there a way to get it back?

As some had said about a week ago, there is now actually a solution to the inbox count. I have been following this thread for a LONG time - I was one of the original people who posted.
But because the search function was lost on the old version, I had to swap across.
However, it’s true that if you select all email in your inbox, and then start to move them as if you were going to move them to a folder, you see a little icon show the number of emails you are moving.
Bite the bullet, it’s probably worth it now if this is the only reason you’re not moving across.
That sounds viable, I will try it. Thank you very much.
just to add to the list
HOW ON EARTH do you miss something this crucial on a major upgrade?? ;-)
this is something I refer to all the time and yes, its probably going to make me revert back to the old version
Just moved to the new version for the same reason, cannot live without search. But very surprised to see such a feature missed on an update for so long, with so many people asking for it. :(
