In the latest update of Outlook for Mac I can no longer see a count of the number of emails in my inbox.  Is there a way to get it back?

Agree! Bring back the item count in the footer bar. Loving the new Outlook format but it's missing this feature.

Also- bring back the option to add folders from additional mailboxes to favorites!

Just adding my frustration on this - the total email count is something I glance at innumerable times a day to check how I'm getting on; even the 'select all' option isn't viable, as it involves stopping what you're doing. PLEASE restore this function.

Everything is already said really, I did rely on that count to know better how much pending stuff I have.

Maybe by removing this feature, Microsoft is trying to teach us a lesson: only the unread emails in your inbox should be considered (and therefore counted), because if you read an email you should action it immediately! If I was able to do that, I wouldn't need to rely on that count to know how much work I have pending, but I'm far from that I'm afraid.

A vital tool, remarkably incompetent to have missed it off the 'upgrade'. The suggested workaround isn't practical with substantial volumes of mail.

Also, where's the equivalent of the Sync Status window? Another essential tool for me (when managing numerous large mailboxes). Anyone know?

    Cheers.

How does Microsoft think it is acceptable to have this many users BEGGING for what is an incredibly basic feature??? I, like so many on this thread, was forced two choose between searching my inbox (new version) and knowing how many emails are in it (old version). It is LAUGHABLE that these are the two features we're all facing a sophie's choice between. This is so. basic.

How do you not bring this feature back for months when there are 9 pages of people crying out for it on this thread. Unreal. The company I work for would never treat our customers like this.
