In the latest update of Outlook for Mac I can no longer see a count of the number of emails in my inbox. Is there a way to get it back?

I just loaded up the latest "New Outlook" and the missing email count was the first thing I noticed. So I immediately searched and found this thread.
I am shocked. 31 pages of posts in four years about this and it's still not fixed.
What's wrong with Microsoft? This is absolutely pathetic. I'm out.
Both Apple and Microsoft are the industry leading pioneers of removing useful features from their products.

We want a solution.
Why should we work with a workaround? It is ridiculous.
We can also print all e-mails and count the papers. That is not how automation is supposed to work.
