Inbox Email Count in New Outlook for Mac

I am adding my voice to the 100s already added! I had thought I was missing something - but no, nowhere to turn this back on. I similarly to many who have posted kept with the old version as long as possible but got forced to upgrade this morning. Like many others, this count is very useful for inbox management, lets me know how many emails I need to sort for the day etc. It honestly panics me not being able to see this. PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!

Adding my voice to the 15 pages of ignored voices. Seeing the total number of email in the inbox is a critical component to helping manage it. Please add it back.

Agreed - this is a glaring omission. Along with many other glaring omissions in Outlook Mac.

Well, here we are six months later and now that I have stepped up to to an M1 MacBook, I am stuck using "new" Outlook (btw, when using "old" Outlook in Monterey, the search function did not work). Not seeing the total message count in each of my mailboxes is a major disappointment (trying to keep it clean and calm here...) to me. Not knowing how many messages are in a box impedes my workflow, priority setting, productivity, and general mood. How can you, MS, think this is a convenient feature for its users?

Please, please, please fix this and return what has always been there before.

I'm with you! The item count seems so simple yet still unaddressed. So frustrating.
