In the latest update of Outlook for Mac I can no longer see a count of the number of emails in my inbox.  Is there a way to get it back?

As some had said about a week ago, there is now actually a solution to the inbox count. I have been following this thread for a LONG time - I was one of the original people who posted.

But because the search function was lost on the old version, I had to swap across.

However, it’s true that if you select all email in your inbox, and then start to move them as if you were going to move them to a folder, you see a little icon show the number of emails you are moving.

Bite the bullet, it’s probably worth it now if this is the only reason you’re not moving across.

Staying on the old version until the inbox count is added back.

I agree I like the new UI, but I have found that the search feature in the old Outlook no longer works correctly. So I'm stuck with the new UI if I want to search all my folders, and have to switch back to see the message counts. Please add this feature to the new version.

I cannot agree more - this is a critical must have. Surprised that this was missed.

Glad to see that I am not the only user to have this expectation.

    Reverting to "class Outlook".

Yes! many thanks! I was looking at the bottom of the window, not in the middle. BR.
