In the latest update of Outlook for Mac I can no longer see a count of the number of emails in my inbox.  Is there a way to get it back?

This is a bizarrely basic feature to have retired. At least give us the option.

I'm sorry, but that's no replacement for the folder content count. Depending on how you sort the view, it either shows you email items or conversations (and possibly others), but you have have to do that Command-A each time you want to see the count. It's just not a good solution.

EMAIL COUNT IS AVAILABLE IN NEW OUTLOOK FOR MAC

You must have the Reading Pane showing to the right or below

Press Command-A keys and the number of emails in that folder will show in the Reading Pane (regardless if read or unread)

I'm elated that to have discovered this and hope many of you will be as well

I agree. A lot of people use this number to manage their inbox. Please put it back in

    Dear Microsoft,

I've been an Outlook user for 20+ years I have come to rely on knowing how many emails are in my Inbox. Reluctantly I moved to New Outlook, I did not like the new style, button layout and some functions, but wanted to at least give it a try.

Losing the inbox email has made me, among other things, want to move back to the previous version.

Hope you can correct this oversight soon?

    Thanks.
