Outlook Horizontal Line is not a full line and is inserted centered in the body of the email.  First noticed on Version 1912 Build 1235.20288.  Looking for a fix.  Anybody else seeing this issue?

    this won't help your signatures but I'm having the same problem with the "insert line" feature. 

    My work-around has been to type several hyphens in a row and hit ENTER -- that will insert a full horizontal line

    example:   ------------ (enter) turns into the line I think we're all missing now.

    In the April Public Update going out today there is a fix for the shortened Horizontal line that we were seeing in 2002 version.  It is fixed in build 12527.20436+.  I am not sure how 2002 increments on Windows 7 but if it can update to at least that version hopefully you will get the fix.

    Hi all,

    Just wanted to update that support has escalated a bug to the Outlook Team to request a fix for this issue.  From what we can see the issue started with Version 1912 Build 12325.20288.  Rolling back to 1911 (16.0.12228.20332) fixes the issue (even for existing emails).  I will post back when we have an update on fix status.

    In case you need to validate the issue you could revert the Office version.  This KB explains how to revert Office to an earlier version, https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2770432.

    These steps should also work but we should use the KB steps as the official supported way to revert.

    Open a Command Prompt and run the following two commands one after the other (Press Enter after typing each line)

    cd %programfiles%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\ClickToRun 

    officec2rclient.exe /update user updatetoversion=16.0.12228.20332

    New email -  insert - horizontal line (can only be added to the body)

    windows 10/outlook desktop build 1912 

    Windows 7 /outlook desktop build 1911 (working as expected)

    I can confirm that this is a issue, and a big one if you ask me.

    The issue is with the new 1912 version (build 12325.20298). On version 1910 it wasn't a problem and as @gigidiv has confirmed, it was working on 1911 also.

    The workarounds I have found until now, isn't 100% useable as Outlook either ****.. it up totally compaired to a normal browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, IE), or the line isn't 100% in width

    Our company branding says, that the horizontal line should be 100% of the window, and I haven't figured out how to solved that in Outlook yet. Hopefully MS will fix this over the weekend????? ;-)
