Hello,
I am having issues with one of the meeting invites I own. We host a full-team meeting for ~300 people on my team, and I am the Outlook owner of this meeting. Somehow, this meeting was deleted off my calendar, but not from others' calendars on my team. I got it back from my sent/deleted folders, however, now I cannot edit the invite. There are wrong dates reflected in the series and I need to either update it, or delete the series for my team altogether, but I am not able to.
With 300 on the team, I am not able to just blast out an email and tell them to disregard the other thread - it always results in confusion and frustration with that many people.
Any thoughts?

This does work, however we need a solution that prevents it from happening again, as some users have no idea that the meetings are gone until someone pings them and says "Hey, are you going to join the meeting you created, we're waiting on you". The user freaks out because the meeting is no longer in their calendar.
MS needs to fix this issue, as it's causing issues with users, which trickles down to the Help Desk, "WHY IS THIS HAPPENING???", we can provide after the fact in a lot of cases.

Hi,
I don't think you're following what I am saying. Yes, this was deleted from MY calendar as the meeting organizer, and YES, it SHOULD have sent out a cancellation to the participants, however, it did NOT. It still shows as an active thread - we even held a meeting today ON that meeting thread that SHOULD have shown as cancelled. I took a poll during the meeting, and 100% of meeting participants are still showing it as an active thread (NEVER received ANYTHING that indicated the meeting was cancelled). I cannot edit the meeting since it was cancelled from my calendar - this seems to be a glitch.
Screenshot of the active meeting from one of my participant's calendars is attached (this screenshot was taken after the meeting SHOULD have been cancelled)
.
I can send another invite, however, there will then be 2 active meeting series for the exact same meeting, causing major confusion across a large team.
Thanks,
Sydney
Sending another invite does not work.
We have the same issue. HAve not found a solution other than asking all teams invited members to delete from their calendars.
Did you ever figure it out bc i am in a panic as the same thing has happened to me and like you, there are too many ppl, very high level on the invite for me to just send out an email blast when a particular date is being cancelled. this has been an ongoing meeting for literally years and i have no idea why it simply disappeared from my calendar, i was not trying to cancel anything that i can recall. How did you handle it?
