Meeting Owner - Series Deleted from my Calendar, but not Other Calendars

Hello,

I am having issues with one of the meeting invites I own. We host a full-team meeting for ~300 people on my team, and I am the Outlook owner of this meeting. Somehow, this meeting was deleted off my calendar, but not from others' calendars on my team. I got it back from my sent/deleted folders, however, now I cannot edit the invite. There are wrong dates reflected in the series and I need to either update it, or delete the series for my team altogether, but I am not able to.

With 300 on the team, I am not able to just blast out an email and tell them to disregard the other thread - it always results in confusion and frustration with that many people.

Any thoughts?

    Hello SydenyKneller,

    Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community.

According to your description, may I carefully confirm with you, if you are the meeting owner, what is the meaning of you cannot edit the invite? Based on our knowledge and experience, there is not such a option to delete the meeting unless you cancel the meeting, however if you cancelled the meeting, the meeting participants will receiving a email (notification) claims that this meeting has been cancelled which the meeting won't show up in their Outlook calendar.

    Kind Regards,

    Tommy

    Hi,

That is exactly what happened - the invite deleted from my calendar without sending the cancellation to anyone else on my team. No one at my company in our Support Team has been able to fix this either. Every single individual on my team still has this invitation, except me. I have tried to pull the invite back from my deleted mailbox, my sent mailbox, others' calendars, and have even tried an Outlook Repair, however, nothing is working. In every one of those instances, the invite appears on my calendar as a participant rather than the organizer.

I have attached a screenshot of how the meeting invite now appears on my calendar - you can see that I am the meeting organizer, however, I am also unable to make any changes to the invite.

    Hello SydenyKneller,

    Thanks for your update.

Based on our experience, if you have cancelled the meeting, and this meeting is already get cancelled which is you are not available to edit it anymore. As a workaround we kindly suggest you to recreate a new meeting.

    Kind Regards,

    Tommy

But it is not cancelled on anyone else's calendar; only mine, which seems to be a glitch. I can certainly send out a new invite, however, the old invite goes until the end of 2023 and with a 300-person team, people will certainly get confused if I need to amend dates/times/etc. on the invite.

    Hello SydenyKneller,

May I carefully request you provide us a screenshot of one of attendees' detailed calendar? Based on our experience and knowledge, if you have deleted the calendar, the participants will receive a email notification about meeting has cancelled, event you moved deleted calendar back to inbox folder, in the participants' calendar detailed page it should still show up this meeting has cancelled. Based on it, we kindly encourage you create a new teams meeting in Outlook.

    Best Regards,

    Tommy
