Using Classic Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
Did you ever get to the bottom of this. LOL, I can feel your frustration, as I've been dealing with the exact same thing with another user.

Hello,
I am having issues with one of the meeting invites I own. We host a full-team meeting for ~300 people on my team, and I am the Outlook owner of this meeting. Somehow, this meeting was deleted off my calendar, but not from others' calendars on my team. I got it back from my sent/deleted folders, however, now I cannot edit the invite. There are wrong dates reflected in the series and I need to either update it, or delete the series for my team altogether, but I am not able to.
With 300 on the team, I am not able to just blast out an email and tell them to disregard the other thread - it always results in confusion and frustration with that many people.
Any thoughts?

This is the only thing that worked for me -- thank you!
I also have this problem 3 years later!
I was in the same situation. I was the meeting owner, the meeting mysteriously disappeared from my calendar, I couldn't see it but everyone else could. When they forwarded it to me, I couldn't see it, respond or make any changes.
I found a solution that worked!
I went to my colleague's calendar (whose calendar I can see all their details) and downloaded the event (including full series) as an .ics file. (if you can't see the details, you can ask your colleague to download the ics file and send to you). I then manually imported the file into my Outlook with these steps:
From Outlook calendar > File > Open & Export > Import/Export > Import an iCalendar (.ics) or vCalendar file (.vcs)
This did the trick, it was back on my calendar in full and I was able to make changes.
This is what happened to me as well, luckily my series ended (I hadn't left the occurrence as no end date thankfully!) but nothing suggested fixed this for me :( I hope you have more luck than i did!
