Meeting Owner - Series Deleted from my Calendar, but not Other Calendars

Hello,

I am having issues with one of the meeting invites I own. We host a full-team meeting for ~300 people on my team, and I am the Outlook owner of this meeting. Somehow, this meeting was deleted off my calendar, but not from others' calendars on my team. I got it back from my sent/deleted folders, however, now I cannot edit the invite. There are wrong dates reflected in the series and I need to either update it, or delete the series for my team altogether, but I am not able to.

With 300 on the team, I am not able to just blast out an email and tell them to disregard the other thread - it always results in confusion and frustration with that many people.

Any thoughts?

Was this meeting created before 9/1/24? There was a recent fix that will prevent future occurrences of this issue but does not retroactively fix existing broken meetings, Meeting missing from organizer’s calendar - Microsoft Support. One solution is noted in that article. Another good solution is documented in this forum thread back on page 10, April 30th by Sarah.

    Hi,

This exact same issue has happened to me!

Can someone please advise how to delete this meeting for everyone even though it no longer shows in my calendar?

    Thanks,

    Olivia

Thank you, Charlene. That is a good catch. We had a big calendar conflict issue a couple months back which got fixed. However, it did not fix bad items in Outlook's local copy of the calendar. If you have seen the Calendar Conflict dialog, now or in the past, pleases do Workaround 2 in the Conflict Known Issue, Outlook shows conflict errors when updating or cancelling meetings - Microsoft Support.

This will remove the local copy of the calendar and resync a good copy from the server.

To clear offline Calendar items, follow these steps:

    1. Close all Office Applications.
    2. Open the Calendarpane in Outlook, and right-click the Calendarfolder.
    3. Select Properties.
    4. On the Generaltab, select Clear Offline Items.
    5. Select OK.
    6. Restart Outlook to start re-sync the local calendar
