How do I remove the Teams meeting link from a calendar invite?!

I purposefully made sure that it was not toggled on. It is for an external meeting so we have to use zoom instead of teams as everyone doesn't have access to teams. When I made an edit to the attendee list it automatically added in a Teams link. I can't remove it and I've searched and searched for a way to remove it. Please help!

Hello Jane,

You can simply click on the Description field and press Ctrl + A to select and then delete Teams meeting link, then use the Zoom meeting Add-ins to insert a link for Zoom meeting and click Send, when the attendees receive the updated meeting invitation email, this meeting will display as a Zoom meeting rather than Teams meeting on their calendar.     FYI to anyone following this thread: It appears that some versions of Outlook have a new feature button "Don't Host Online" that shows up in Meeting invites that have a Teams meeting added to them. When creating a New Meeting, it takes 5-10 seconds for the button to show up after adding a Teams meeting to the event invite. This button was added sometime in the last 2-3 weeks, I would guess.

    My Outlook version is: Microsoft® Outlook® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2208 Build 16.0.15601.20148) 32-bit

    You will see that the "Join teams meeting" is still on the invite.

    I have the same problem and this is a major pain and a significant defect that has been inserted simply to try to force users to use more Microsoft software. Even if it is fixable the fact that there is a thread with 4 pages of conversation and no resolution shows that it is a major problem. Fix it Microsoft.

    Mike,

    I did solve this after more investigating:

    In the Outlook Options window, select Calendar.  Under Calendar Options, remove the checkmark from “Add online meeting to all meetings”  Click OK.

    This took the automatic Teams link out of meetings, and I just need to click to Teams add-on in the event I plan to use Teams.
