How do I remove the Teams meeting link from a calendar invite?!

I purposefully made sure that it was not toggled on. It is for an external meeting so we have to use zoom instead of teams as everyone doesn't have access to teams. When I made an edit to the attendee list it automatically added in a Teams link. I can't remove it and I've searched and searched for a way to remove it. Please help!

Hello Jane,

You can simply click on the Description field and press Ctrl + A to select and then delete Teams meeting link, then use the Zoom meeting Add-ins to insert a link for Zoom meeting and click Send, when the attendees receive the updated meeting invitation email, this meeting will display as a Zoom meeting rather than Teams meeting on their calendar.     Hi Jennifer,

    I am also having the same problem. I removed the Teams link from adding from the settings, but the invite has already been sent and I am not able to remove it. I did add the Zoom link through outlook, but this still did not remove the Teams link that is embedded in the meeting. e.g. you have Teams the "join online" button. This creates a lot of confusion especially if the meeting is large and resending it creates confusion.

    This web page explains how to remove the Teams link -- you need to use the full outlook app, not Outlook Online, as far as I can see, but it worked for me.

    I don't appear to have that "Don't Host Online" option, neither in a New Meeting nor in the Customize The Ribbon.

    Regardless, you shouldn't need to customize the ribbon just to be able to remove an embedded meeting link. Please, MS, just enable removing any linked/embedded meeting as a part of the interface.

    Recommendation #1: If there's an embedded Teams meeting, the button should change from "Join Teams Meeting" to "Remove Teams Meeting" when in Edit mode.

    Also, this can make using Microsoft Teams Rooms devices quite frustrating to use (or impossible if the Org policy setting is to automatically add a Teams Meeting to all new meetings) to join "external" meetings. If it's impossible to replace an embedded Teams meeting, then there's no way to get the MTR to offer to join a Zoom or WebEx meeting.

    Recommendation #2: If there are multiple kinds of Join links in a meeting, the MTR should offer to join each. There's plenty of room for more "Join" buttons on the interface, and/or a dialog could pop-up asking which meeting to join (and maybe showing the # of participants in each).
