How do I remove the Teams meeting link from a calendar invite?!

I purposefully made sure that it was not toggled on. It is for an external meeting so we have to use zoom instead of teams as everyone doesn't have access to teams. When I made an edit to the attendee list it automatically added in a Teams link. I can't remove it and I've searched and searched for a way to remove it. Please help!

Hello Jane,

You can simply click on the Description field and press Ctrl + A to select and then delete Teams meeting link, then use the Zoom meeting Add-ins to insert a link for Zoom meeting and click Send, when the attendees receive the updated meeting invitation email, this meeting will display as a Zoom meeting rather than Teams meeting on their calendar.     UPDATE: I didn't see Wild Wallace's reply but his/her steps actually resolved my issues. THANKS Wild Wallace!

    Has something changed because when I remove the Teams verbiage and link then click send I get the following message:

    "This invite cannot be sent because Teams meeting details in the body are different from this meeting. Would you like us to fix the meeting invite?"

    When I click Yes, I get this message:

    "Sorry we cannot fix this meeting invite. Please create a new meeting and add Teams meeting to it."

    I just want to remove the teams details from the invite and resend the invite. Help!

    This worked for me, and when I saved re-sent the invite, the Join Teams option had been removed. I did not need to replace with Zoom info; my event was in-person. Thanks!

    Wow, I can't believe MS has not fixed this properly.

    I have tried all recommendations in this thread and a few others, to no success FOR RECURRING MEETINGS.

    Editing an existing series with a Teams meeting, and clicking the "Don't Host Online" button does Nothing.

    Keeping fingers crossed, CRTL-S, then Close... and wait 5, 10, 15 minutes for O365 back end to replicate...

    Nope. Still not resolved.

    I tested a solution and posted the steps below.

    (The meeting Organizer must delete the meeting, then edit it in their Deleted Items folder, for the Whole Teams meeting to be removed...)

    This definitely falls under the category of, “I shouldn’t have to ask them to fix this. It’s just bad.” Isn’t this driving their own employees nuts? Even the fact that there’s a list of things you have to “try” is ridiculous. If adding is easy, removing should be just as easy. Boom. It’s not rocket science.
