How do I remove the Teams meeting link from a calendar invite?!

I purposefully made sure that it was not toggled on. It is for an external meeting so we have to use zoom instead of teams as everyone doesn't have access to teams. When I made an edit to the attendee list it automatically added in a Teams link. I can't remove it and I've searched and searched for a way to remove it. Please help!

Hello Jane,

You can simply click on the Description field and press Ctrl + A to select and then delete Teams meeting link, then use the Zoom meeting Add-ins to insert a link for Zoom meeting and click Send, when the attendees receive the updated meeting invitation email, this meeting will display as a Zoom meeting rather than Teams meeting on their calendar.     This needs to be answered. It is quite clear what the request is, but the "answers" keep missing the point.

    Dear all,

    This works indeed fine, however, my experience has been that when the invitee gets the Zoom meeting reminder popup and then clicks JOIN NOW, the meeting opens as a Microsoft Teams meeting.

    Any solution how to avoid this?

    This is the solution I'm looking for. With the button "Don't Host Online" you can remove the Teams Meeting after you already created it. Activating this option disabling the "Join meeting" and "Meeting options" buttons.

    Hi Everyone - quite a few people on here missing the real issue: The problem is that when you have created the meeting AND saved it/sent it out, the "Don't host online" button disappears when you open the invite for editing. Without that button youc annto let O365 know that it is not a Teams meeting anymore. Even if you delete the invite text out of the meeting.

    People are suggesting in this forum item that you should delete and re-create the meeting without the invite and yes that will work, but is painful and can be time consuming depending on the meeting recurrence/history.

    The best solution: add the missing "Don't host online" button back into the Meeting Edit screen:

    1. Create a new meeting and set it to be a Teams meeting (if not auto-populated)
    2. As soon as the Teams meeting is added, there will be a ribbon button (likely under the “meeting” tab for “Don’t host online”
    3. Right click on the button and select “Add to Quick Access Bar”
    4. A cross will be added at the top left.
    5. You can now close the new meeting you created in (1)

    Now if you edit an invite with a Teams meeting link in there, the Quick Access Bar will allow you to remove it by clicking that cross (which represents the “Don’t Host Online” function.
