How do I remove the Teams meeting link from a calendar invite?!

I purposefully made sure that it was not toggled on. It is for an external meeting so we have to use zoom instead of teams as everyone doesn't have access to teams. When I made an edit to the attendee list it automatically added in a Teams link. I can't remove it and I've searched and searched for a way to remove it. Please help!

Hello Jane,

You can simply click on the Description field and press Ctrl + A to select and then delete Teams meeting link, then use the Zoom meeting Add-ins to insert a link for Zoom meeting and click Send, when the attendees receive the updated meeting invitation email, this meeting will display as a Zoom meeting rather than Teams meeting on their calendar.     Hello Jane,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community!

    Regarding "When I made an edit to the attendee list it automatically added in a Teams link", based on my experience, this will happen when you have the option “"add online meeting to all meetings" checkbox” selected in Outlook settings.

    Therefore, if you do not want to add teams meeting link automatically for calendar invites, it is recommended that you can click Settings > view all outlook settings > calendar > events and invitations > clear the "add online meeting to all meetings" checkbox, click Save and try creating an invitation to check the result.

    Hi Jennifer,

    Thanks for the helpful tip on the front end. I am not able to delete this one and start over as it is a big calendar invite with a lot of external parties. I just need to edit it to remove the Teams link. Can you please advise on how to do that?

    Hello Jane,

    Thanks for your reply. If you want to remove teams meeting for the existing meeting invitation and insert a zoom meeting link, you can follow the following steps:

    1. Open your calendar, find the existing meeting event and click Edit.
    2. Delete the Microsoft Teams meeting information from the Description field, for your reference:

    1. Then insert a Zoom meeting link and click Send to send meeting updates to all attendees:

    Hi Jennifer,

    Thanks for the quick reply! Unfortunately that does not work as the meeting was already created and sent out. There is no option to remove the Teams meetings. It is locked and there is no button to cancel or remove it. (pic below) How do I do it when it is like this?
