How do I remove the Teams meeting link from a calendar invite?!

I purposefully made sure that it was not toggled on. It is for an external meeting so we have to use zoom instead of teams as everyone doesn't have access to teams. When I made an edit to the attendee list it automatically added in a Teams link. I can't remove it and I've searched and searched for a way to remove it. Please help!

Hello Jane,

You can simply click on the Description field and press Ctrl + A to select and then delete Teams meeting link, then use the Zoom meeting Add-ins to insert a link for Zoom meeting and click Send, when the attendees receive the updated meeting invitation email, this meeting will display as a Zoom meeting rather than Teams meeting on their calendar.     Dear all,

    This works indeed fine, however, my experience has been that when the invitee gets the Zoom meeting reminder popup and then clicks JOIN NOW, the meeting opens as a Microsoft Teams meeting.

    Any solution how to avoid this?

    This isn't correct. All this does is remove the Team link and call-in info from the invitation text. It does not actually remove the Teams meeting. The team join link and call-in info are still active. If someone clicks Join in the Teams calendar, the meeting is still available.

    I've been following all four pages of this and I am in the same boat as many but here is my twist:

    If I create a meeting in a Teams Channel Calendar (and not Outlook) how do I prevent a Teams meeting link being auto-added there is no toggle in the Channel calendar.

    I just want simple events in the Channel calendar with no online meeting link added. I don't want to default to off in Outlook either because 99% of our meetings are Teams meetings and people will forget to toggle.
