How do I remove the Teams meeting link from a calendar invite?!

I purposefully made sure that it was not toggled on. It is for an external meeting so we have to use zoom instead of teams as everyone doesn't have access to teams. When I made an edit to the attendee list it automatically added in a Teams link. I can't remove it and I've searched and searched for a way to remove it. Please help!

Hello Jane,

You can simply click on the Description field and press Ctrl + A to select and then delete Teams meeting link, then use the Zoom meeting Add-ins to insert a link for Zoom meeting and click Send, when the attendees receive the updated meeting invitation email, this meeting will display as a Zoom meeting rather than Teams meeting on their calendar.     I'm also having this problem (same as Jane and the other posters). There appears to be a bug in the Teams meeting plug-in that prevents the invite from fully removing the meeting. I have tried to remove the Teams meeting from my desktop app and online by clearing out the Teams meeting details from the Description and by clearing out the Location field. No success.

    I hope MS can prioritize this bug as it makes online meeting management very confusing.

    Is there a way to do this in O365? Removing the Teams information from the Description of the Invite doesn't get rid of the JOIN TEAMS MEETING button on the invite.

    would also like to know how to disable this on organization level?

    Still want our users to be able to add a teams link, but not activated by default.
