How do I remove the Teams meeting link from a calendar invite?!

I purposefully made sure that it was not toggled on. It is for an external meeting so we have to use zoom instead of teams as everyone doesn't have access to teams. When I made an edit to the attendee list it automatically added in a Teams link. I can't remove it and I've searched and searched for a way to remove it. Please help!

Hello Jane,

You can simply click on the Description field and press Ctrl + A to select and then delete Teams meeting link, then use the Zoom meeting Add-ins to insert a link for Zoom meeting and click Send, when the attendees receive the updated meeting invitation email, this meeting will display as a Zoom meeting rather than Teams meeting on their calendar.     Hi Jennifer,

    Would you know how to do what the title of the OP says - remove the Teams invite - without adding a Zoom link?

    We have a regular meeting via Teams but one of the occurrences is to be in-person. I've tried deleting the description and the location, but the 'Join Teams Meeting' option is still there. I want to remove it to avoid confusion.

    Hi Jennifer, you do actually still have the same problem as Jane. The issue is the button/box that says "Join" - that is the Teams meeting, not the new added Zoom meeting. The Join button is always a Teams meeting, and many of us are looking for a way to remove that Join button.

    I myself have updated my calendar settings both in my desktop app and the web version of Outlook to NOT automatically add online meetings, for the very reason that you cannot remove the Join button once it is added to an invite - and I still am having problems with some meetings automatically putting a Join button on my invite despite not ever having had a Teams meeting added to the invite.

    Hello,

    I just read through all this but my problem is not being answered. 95% of the meetings I create should be Teams meetings so I really WANT to have the Calendar setting box checked to automatically create a meeting as a Teams meeting. But some meetings are not to be Teams OR Zoom meetings - they may have to be in person, or they are just a placeholder for something coming up.

    Basically, when I create these 5% of my meetings, I basically need to 'un-Teams' them. Is there any way to do this? Or do I have to leave the Callendar setting box checked, and then change the 95% of my meetings to Teams meetings? Seems kind of odd that you CAN'T click the Teams button to Unselect that it's a Teams meeting, since you CAN click it to go the other way and change a non-teams meeting to a teams meeting.
