How do I remove the Teams meeting link from a calendar invite?!

I purposefully made sure that it was not toggled on. It is for an external meeting so we have to use zoom instead of teams as everyone doesn't have access to teams. When I made an edit to the attendee list it automatically added in a Teams link. I can't remove it and I've searched and searched for a way to remove it. Please help!

Hello Jane,

You can simply click on the Description field and press Ctrl + A to select and then delete Teams meeting link, then use the Zoom meeting Add-ins to insert a link for Zoom meeting and click Send, when the attendees receive the updated meeting invitation email, this meeting will display as a Zoom meeting rather than Teams meeting on their calendar.     UPDATE: I didn't see Wild Wallace's reply but his/her steps actually resolved my issues. THANKS Wild Wallace!

    Has something changed because when I remove the Teams verbiage and link then click send I get the following message:

    "This invite cannot be sent because Teams meeting details in the body are different from this meeting. Would you like us to fix the meeting invite?"

    When I click Yes, I get this message:

    "Sorry we cannot fix this meeting invite. Please create a new meeting and add Teams meeting to it."

    I just want to remove the teams details from the invite and resend the invite. Help!

    This is the solution I'm looking for. With the button "Don't Host Online" you can remove the Teams Meeting after you already created it. Activating this option disabling the "Join meeting" and "Meeting options" buttons.

    Dear all,

    This works indeed fine, however, my experience has been that when the invitee gets the Zoom meeting reminder popup and then clicks JOIN NOW, the meeting opens as a Microsoft Teams meeting.

    Any solution how to avoid this?

    I've been following all four pages of this and I am in the same boat as many but here is my twist:

    If I create a meeting in a Teams Channel Calendar (and not Outlook) how do I prevent a Teams meeting link being auto-added there is no toggle in the Channel calendar.

    I just want simple events in the Channel calendar with no online meeting link added. I don't want to default to off in Outlook either because 99% of our meetings are Teams meetings and people will forget to toggle.
