Family Calendar Missing

Outlook 365 was always a mess with the Family calendar part because I could only read those appointment and not edit them (even if I created them from Android or outlook.com) but now there is no family calendar at all.

Can someone confirm it was only read on outlook 365 or did someone got the editing working?

We were not able to edit our family calendar with Outlook 365 either, which was a pain.

I have now setup a new calendar and shared it with my family, and we can now edit in Outlook 365.

This can't be true! This issue has been here since May and some still keep on asking further details! Family calendar does not appear in Windows desktop and thats it! 

Fix the problem, please. I can't see my events either and man do I hate the situation now!

Sure - I did these steps online, though they should probably work using Outlook as well:

• when looking at your Microsoft calendar online, click on Add Calendar
• click on Create blank calendar
• give it a name, I called mine "Family" 
• you should then see it listed under "My Calendars"
• click on the dots to the right of it and select Sharing and permissions
• add your family User accounts and choose whether to give edit permission or not

Each family member you invite gets an email invitation - if they accept then the calendar is visible to them. It took a day or so for the permissions to replicate fully (there were a few access issues on some devices) but it's now working well

Many thanks David!!!  I presume it's accessible via Win 10 apps (i.e. Mail & Outlook client apps) and also mobile Outlook (Android & iOS)?

(I wonder how long until they take this functionality away too :-) )

Yes, we're using it on:

• Windows 10 native calendar app
• Outlook on mobile (android & iOS)
• Outlook client on Windows 10
• Amazon Alexa
