Family Calendar Missing

Hi.

My family and I have created a Microsoft family group. When clicking the 'plan family events' link in the family home page we are all taken to our personal calendars but there is no 'Family Calendar' under the 'Other Calendars' list. Can someone please suggest a cause of this issue and/or a remedy?

The family calendar has never been visible for any of us and we created the family group approx. 48 hours ago.

Thanks.

Ross

I agree - it's far from satisfactory. If we were merely discussing bundled software then I could see that MS might not bust a gut to resolve the problem. But one of the failure points is with paid for Microsoft 365 Home (or whatever it's called now). The Outlook application doesn't display the family (and probably any other) group. We may not be paying full O365 $ for it but it's still part of the subscription and it should work.

If MS didn't have a solution to the problem, then they shouldn't have broken the functionality that previously worked perfectly adequately.

But the pinned "App" does not integrate very well with other build in apps or with notifications - as long as it is not opened.

That also means I have two entry points for doing more or less the same.

And that just because ms does not get the basic things done for consumers - and that even on there own platform (Windows).

The shared, group family calendar works fine on outlook.com - always has done. The failure is associated with the Win10 Mail & Calendar app and locally installed Outlook application. I've decided to install outlook.com as an app in Chredge, pin it to the taskbar and forget Mail & and Calendar and the Outlook calendar for family.

MS want's us to use macOS, iOS and Android as on all these platforms the family calendar is working just fine. I'm using Outlook for Mac and I can see and use the calendar as everyone expects.

But wait, as I'm already using macOS and iOS I'm also using iCould for Family Calendar and there was never such an issue. :p I own a M365 Family subscription and was already on the way to move from iCloud to Outlook.com. But the access to the family calendar within native apps (also Windows) is a must have and in my case a show stopper for moving to outlook.com as my family is heavily relying on it.

And I think MS does not really care about the consumers as they have a much better cash cow they need to take care about.

Let me know if your export completes and you get a link to download. Hoping my is done in the next day or so.

It's been over 2 weeks and it still says "Export in progress." Amazing...

Glad we are all in the same boat. Support told me to give it 14 days. It is well over that threshold and i have not heard from them.
