I like the look of the new Outlook for Mac. But the functionality of the Calendar seems to have lost a lot of things compared to the old Outlook. I can't Option-drag a meeting to create a copy on another day or a new time (it's a standard way of doing things on a Mac and worked in the old Outlook) I can't drag an event to another calendar in the section at left to move this event to this calendar. When creating a new event, there's no option to change the reminder time for the event. I have to create the event, save it, open it again, go the event options, change the reminder and I still have to click on two buttons to save the change. Way too much trouble. Am I missing a magic option somewhere? I'm working from home on a Mac, connected to an enterprise version of O365 at my university.

YAY, IT Works! I had to switch back to the old Outlook UI to just get this functionality back. This is a good workaround. So, thank you very much for sharing this with us. I am now back in the New Outlook UI again because of this suggestion. Many thanks, Thomas_DE!

I've found a solution! Ok, it's a workaround but it works. Finally I can copy appointments in the new Outlook for Mac. Select the appointment Go to menu "Appointment" » "Move" » "Copy to Folder..." Don't change the calendar, use the source calendar and simply clicl "OK" Finish. There is no mouse support as you desired, but with ⇧ + ⌘ + C and click on "OK" it's a handy solution. But nevertheless: Its embrassing, MICROSOFT, not to provide such a basic functionality and ignoring the users voices. Do you have statistics over usage of the new Outlook's calendar? Hard to believe...

You are right. You need to use "classic" for this functionality. Lot's of things are still not good to be productive when "New Outlook" is turned on. E.g. the missing function bar in the calendar... etc.

Thank you for posting your issue on Microsoft Community. There are several features that aren't yet available in the new Outlook experience and some known issues such as Mail and events can't be moved or copied between accounts. However, our product team is investigating this issue in the new Outlook for Mac. You may switch back by turning off the New Outlook switch to avoid this issue.

After 14 months, is the product team still investigating? This is an unfortunately typical Microsoft reaction and customer response. Say you're working on the issue and then completely ghost on it. Good to know where we stand on the priority list.
