I like the look of the new Outlook for Mac. But the functionality of the Calendar seems to have lost a lot of things compared to the old Outlook. I can't Option-drag a meeting to create a copy on another day or a new time (it's a standard way of doing things on a Mac and worked in the old Outlook) I can't drag an event to another calendar in the section at left to move this event to this calendar. When creating a new event, there's no option to change the reminder time for the event. I have to create the event, save it, open it again, go the event options, change the reminder and I still have to click on two buttons to save the change. Way too much trouble. Am I missing a magic option somewhere? I'm working from home on a Mac, connected to an enterprise version of O365 at my university.

Right click has been working with Apple´s own mouse since Mighty Mouse 2009. Anderfo¨s info is a workaround for drag and drop and works well on a Mac.

I appreciate the thought, Anderfo, but "right clicking" isn't normally an option on Macs, and the normally-similar Option Click does not produce that result. Perhaps that is a useful suggestion for Windows machines?

I haven't read all the 80 replies carefully, so this might have been already presented, but here's the only "trick" I have found to do what Option-drag used to do: Right-click the item, choose "Move" -> "Copy to folder..." and hit Enter. Now you'll have two identical items. Drag one of the two items to the place you want it. It's a couple more buttons to hit than Option-drag, but still a lot faster than manually creating each item (if you e.g. want them all to be the same length, same category, same reminders, etc.). cheers Anders

Hi Christian,

Thank you for posting your issue on Microsoft Community. There are several features that aren't yet available in the new Outlook experience and some known issues such as Mail and events can't be moved or copied between accounts. However, our product team is investigating this issue in the new Outlook for Mac. You may switch back by turning off the New Outlook switch to avoid this issue.
