I like the look of the new Outlook for Mac. But the functionality of the Calendar seems to have lost a lot of things compared to the old Outlook. I can't Option-drag a meeting to create a copy on another day or a new time (it's a standard way of doing things on a Mac and worked in the old Outlook) I can't drag an event to another calendar in the section at left to move this event to this calendar. When creating a new event, there's no option to change the reminder time for the event. I have to create the event, save it, open it again, go the event options, change the reminder and I still have to click on two buttons to save the change. Way too much trouble. Am I missing a magic option somewhere? I'm working from home on a Mac, connected to an enterprise version of O365 at my university.

September 2022, and I had to use our web outlook client on my Mac to get this feature. Here's the URL our company uses: https://outlook.office.com/calendar/view/week. Then you just right-click on an event and choose "Duplicate event." Not quite as easy as option-drag, but way better than manually creating a whole new event.

Two-finger clicks are options one has to turn on in system preferences, this doesn't work by default. I turned it on to try it out, and it shows the same menu as the control-click. That is, unfortunately, still nothing useful for duplicating calendar events. I do appreciate the suggestion!

Sorry, hadn't realized that desktop Macs had right-click mice these days. I'm betting many more track pads in use than mice, but thanks for the update. Just a note, when I control click on a calendar appointment on my MacBook Pro, there is no "Move" option in the resulting pop-up menu (nor anything else that might allow one to duplicate a calendar appointment). Maybe we are using different versions of Outlook (I have version 16.64 of 2019 stand alone Outlook) You can right-click on a trackpad as well. Either via tap with two fingers simultaneously or via click on the bottom right corner. Both can be (de-)activated.

Right click has been working with Apple´s own mouse since Mighty Mouse 2009. Anderfo¨s info is a workaround for drag and drop and works well on a Mac.

Hi Christian,

Thank you for posting your issue on Microsoft Community. There are several features that aren't yet available in the new Outlook experience and some known issues such as Mail and events can't be moved or copied between accounts. However, our product team is investigating this issue in the new Outlook for Mac. You may switch back by turning off the New Outlook switch to avoid this issue.

You can right-click on a trackpad as well. Either via tap with two fingers simultaneously or via click on the bottom right corner. Both can be (de-)activated.
