I like the look of the new Outlook for Mac. But the functionality of the Calendar seems to have lost a lot of things compared to the old Outlook. I can't Option-drag a meeting to create a copy on another day or a new time (it's a standard way of doing things on a Mac and worked in the old Outlook) I can't drag an event to another calendar in the section at left to move this event to this calendar. When creating a new event, there's no option to change the reminder time for the event. I have to create the event, save it, open it again, go the event options, change the reminder and I still have to click on two buttons to save the change. Way too much trouble. Am I missing a magic option somewhere? I'm working from home on a Mac, connected to an enterprise version of O365 at my university.

Remember that MS Office runs on macOS mostly to hedge against anti-trust action, and to a lesser extent to prevent the suite from being disqualified by companies that have both MS-DOS and macOS users. MSFT explicitly doesn't want the experience to be seamless. Note how a given document can render very differently on MS-DOS, macOS, and the browser.

Let's just say MS completely... Customers are just not important to MS... And to be completely honest, working on MS & MAC, the CX & user experience are two (completely) different worlds... on the one all works easy, simple & (especially) efficient (focus on creativity & easy working), the other constantly interruptions because something doesn't work (anymore), is not logical, have to click 3 times to do a simple task (while on MC only 1 click needed, etc, etc, etc). I can go on and on like this... MS will never be efficent & userfriendly... Already know (and work on) both platforms for +/- 20 years, i see certain evolutions which one is best & easiest (and most focussed) working... MS will never, just never... They don't know and understand user-experience... and never will...

Nearly 18 months and no progress? If MS want people not to use "New Outlook", just call it "Unfinished Outlook" and we'll take the hint. For those of us that are trying, perhaps giving an idea as to when this might be delivered would be good. I believe the "product team" knows about this as stated on the linked status page. I don't believe for a moment that they/her/him are/is still investigating after this time.

Hi Christian,

Thank you for posting your issue on Microsoft Community. There are several features that aren't yet available in the new Outlook experience and some known issues such as Mail and events can't be moved or copied between accounts. However, our product team is investigating this issue in the new Outlook for Mac. You may switch back by turning off the New Outlook switch to avoid this issue.
