On some inbound emails I am receiving a banner above the email text that says Connectors - placeholder. We have no idea what it is or why it's suddenly there starting this week. Some emails have it and some don't. Doesn't matter if they are internal company emails or external emails.
We've checked add-ins, social setting, etc and now been able to get this to go away. It does now show up on the web or mobile, and doesn't show up in Sent messages either.
Any way to get rid of this? It's super annoying and takes up unneeded space.

For this issue, we would like you to do the test and kindly tell us the results after that. At outlook client, File, Outlook options, People, Uncheck the show user photographs when available and we want to know this place holder banner is integrated with yours users' profile:
In addition, we would like to look what version of your outlook at, kindly take a screenshot like below to us to further investigate it:

I have already turned the user photos on and off and it didn't change anything.
As far as the version I have:
I was wondering if this was a future update and it's just a placeholder for now, or something else. It just started earlier this week.
We're experiencing the same thing - "Connectors - placeholder" being inserted in the top of the message body for some employee emails. Disabling user photographs and restarting Outlook made no difference.
