Outlook Connectors - Placeholder on some inbound emails

On some inbound emails I am receiving a banner above the email text that says Connectors - placeholder. We have no idea what it is or why it's suddenly there starting this week. Some emails have it and some don't. Doesn't matter if they are internal company emails or external emails.

We've checked add-ins, social setting, etc and now been able to get this to go away. It does now show up on the web or mobile, and doesn't show up in Sent messages either.

Any way to get rid of this? It's super annoying and takes up unneeded space.

Adding myself to this list. 22/07/20 -- this has been happening for a week or so, IIRC. It's a huge pain and its nothing to do with bulk mail, photographs or leaves on the line. Please fix it promptly.

I am having the same issue- started a few days ago. Whats annoying is you cant read the content of the email if you go back to it later. Have to wait or use Forward so the text appears on screen. Its random- some internal, some external email.

Same issue. There are two console errors when this happens - CORS policy when calling a gif and the activityTrackerUtils.js:
