Outlook Crashes Shortly After Starting

I've been running the Office aps for quite a while, and this just started happening. Shortly after I ope Outlook, I get a message saying "There was a problem with Microsoft Office and your recent work might be lost." I have tried restrating the computer and also re-installing Office. I'm running OS 10.13.6 (the latest version that my old computer will support).

The first part of the error report is:

    The Teams Meeting button in Outlook for Mac will appear in the Outlook for Mac ribbon if Outlook is running production build 16.24.414.0 and later and is activated with a Microsoft 365 or Office 365 client subscription. See Teams Meeting add-in in Outlook for Mac. According to this article, if your Outlook build is 15.xx, Teams Meeting button should not be available.

    I am listening, sir. That I said "so far the most effective method is to first update Mac OS and then update Office (the bug in a previous version gets fixed in 16.47 and later versions)" in my recent reply was because it's the current solution for the Outlook-crash issue, which you may refer to that related article. Sorry if this made you feel I was not listening.

    And since a lot of affected users' machines weren't able to be updated due to various reasons, I then suggested the other two methods.

    Per O365Tester's feedback, reverting to Outlook 15.xx works. So would you please bother to have a try? You may delete only the Outlook app or delete the Office suite - which, according to the article, might get the best experience. Please see the detailed instruction in How to go back to Office 2016 for Mac 15.xx versions from 16.xx - Office Support (microsoft.com).

    Hi Qian,

    My Outlook app started with this behaviour this morning but was fine yesterday. Since I'm on an old iMac I can't update beyond OS 10.13.6, so am stuck at client 16.43 or earlier. Will this be addressed for older clients?

    I've gotten it working on version 15.X but am definitely missing later features like Teams integration.
