Outlook Crashes Shortly After Starting

I've been running the Office aps for quite a while, and this just started happening. Shortly after I ope Outlook, I get a message saying "There was a problem with Microsoft Office and your recent work might be lost." I have tried restrating the computer and also re-installing Office. I'm running OS 10.13.6 (the latest version that my old computer will support).

The first part of the error report is:

    So basically Microsoft broke a working product and in these trying times is saying we need to move on?

    I can't agree with you more. However, I checked the official articles and found that the Microsoft 365 for business products' operating system requirements for Mac OS is "One of the three most recent versions of macOS. When a new version of macOS is released, the macOS requirement becomes one of the then-current three most recent versions: the new version of macOS and the previous two versions." For your reference: Microsoft 365 and Office Resources

    And this is the Mac OS history I found from Apple official site. Yours and most other users' OS happen to be out of the three most recent versions. I'm not sure if this is the only reason that Outlook crashes.

    As long as I get any update, I'll let you know.

    Thanks for your reply. Finally some one who gets my frustration! My issues with outlook started around the same time after I updated my phone and outlook app. Definitely not the same problem but related due to the timing of the thread I believe. I've got an alternative email app for now as all solutions on online forums have failed. My best bet right now is for an update that would fix the problem. I haven't had any decent response from Microsoft yet and it's near impossible to get technical assistance via phone. Good luck to you in getting your issue resolved.

    You break the server so issue a client patch, leaving all the old clients broken.

    Please roll back the server side changes you made before this problem appears. That is the only real FIX.

    John,

    not sure you have the same problem. My iPhone works but none of the Mac clients. When did you first notice your problem? If it was around the time this thread started there may be a common root cause. As far as I can make out there is no client side issue, it is all Microsoft servers, they did something the weekend before and broke many Mac clients. All your client side fiddling was never going to fix it. I'm now scared to restart my iPhone for fear of Outlook asking the server for something that then break my Outlook on my phone, the only one the works for me.

    I full understand your frustration. I've has to revert to my crappy work issued WinDoz machine for long emails.
