That I said "so far the most effective method is to first update Mac OS and then update Office (the bug in a previous version gets fixed in 16.47 and later versions)" in my recent reply was because it's the current solution for the Outlook-crash issue, which you may refer to that related article. Sorry if this made you feel I was not listening.
And since a lot of affected users' machines weren't able to be updated due to various reasons, I then suggested the other two methods.
Per O365Tester's feedback, reverting to Outlook 15.xx works. So would you please bother to have a try? You may delete only the Outlook app or delete the Office suite - which, according to the article, might get the best experience. Please see the detailed instruction in How to go back to Office 2016 for Mac 15.xx versions from 16.xx - Office Support (microsoft.com).
