Outlook Crashes Shortly After Starting

I've been running the Office aps for quite a while, and this just started happening. Shortly after I ope Outlook, I get a message saying "There was a problem with Microsoft Office and your recent work might be lost." I have tried restrating the computer and also re-installing Office. I'm running OS 10.13.6 (the latest version that my old computer will support).

    So basically Microsoft broke a working product and in these trying times is saying we need to move on?

    The latest version requires Mac OS 10.14. I'm running 10.13.6, because I have an older computer, and that's the latest version that works. As you can see from the responses in this thread, there are a lot of us out here who for various reasons are running 10.13.6. I hope you're not suggesting that we should all by new computers in order to run MS Office.

    Hi all,

    A fix has been released in the latest client update version 16.47 or later. Install Office updates to receive this fix. If you cannot update Office at this time, please use the Outlook web client until you can. Kindly check Outlook for Mac crashes unexpectedly on startup or during mail synchronization - Outlook (microsoft.com).

    Install Office for Mac update: Update Office for Mac automatically - Office Support (microsoft.com)

    When you want to uninstall and reinstall a specific app in Office, e.g.: Oultook, usually, you will need to download the Office suite and then reinstall the Office suite. If you only want to uninstall and reinstall a specific app in Office, you will need other tools for help, e.g. Office Deployment Tool.

    I tried deleting the few future entries in my calendar, and also some past ones, but still no luck.

    I also disconnected shared calendars without success.

    This is driving me crazy!

    I am running the latest version of Office 2016. I tried creating a new identity, then resetting preferences. Neither helped. Outlook doesn't stay open long enough for me to click Help. Is there another way to contact the support tem?
