Is it possible to change the font on the Outlook mobile app for android? I don't see an option to change the font within the actual app and even if I change the font for the entire phone it still appears as Calibri. I want to change it to Times New Roman (consistent with my desktop default font). I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S10+, but I do not think that makes a difference.

Yes please update this!! There absolutely needs to be consistency between the app and the standalone. It's the same problem when accessing 365 from a browser - it defaults to the LARGE calibri font which looks terrible...
I have noticed when you change the font size in the Outlook web environment. the font size in the app is also changed.
Settings > View all Outlook settings > Mail > Compose and Reply.
Well, you can change the default font settings from within a browser on a laptop, for example.
However, it unfortunately doesn't solve the problem.
The problem (for me, at least) is that you cannot change any fonts within the standalone app on a phone or from within a browser on a phone. Mine default to Segoe UI 12 pt.
The issue I was having is that when replying to an email from my Android the font and set signature would be in a different font than that of my desktop. I thought this issue was corrected because when I compose a new email it sends exactly as if from my desktop, but I realized on replies the font would change and there would be lines added to my signature. I was playing around with options and didn't find a fix, but instead a work around I thought might be useful to everyone if they did not already know. When replying from your mobile device, I happen to have a Samsung Galaxy S10e, instead of just pressing reply and typing when the cursor appears and sending... Press the edit text/font icon and then the screen changes to the same as when you compose a new message. My original font and signature settings are restored and you can see the message is then sent properly.
That's interesting. I use a Samsung s10+ but I don't have the icon you have circled at the bottom (either on the browser or the standalone app for the phone). Mine looks like this:
