Changing Font on Outlook Mobile App for Android

Is it possible to change the font on the Outlook mobile app for android? I don't see an option to change the font within the actual app and even if I change the font for the entire phone it still appears as Calibri. I want to change it to Times New Roman (consistent with my desktop default font). I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S10+, but I do not think that makes a difference.

    Hey Soccerush,

This is a good workaround, but did you look at the one on Dec 3rd? SaP-19 posted it and it doesn't require you to paste every time. The formatting is embedded in a (blank) signature. Might save you a bit of time and effort!

Here is a workaround for this:

Use word to compose a one-word greeting, i.e.: Hello, in whatever font you choose. Copy and paste that into Outlook when you are starting to compose an email, and the rest of the body will have that custom font.

    Caveats:

When pasting, you have to long-press on the text field to paste the text. It won't work if you use the mobile clipboard because it will merge the formats.

Also, this works as long as that text is the last thing you copied, so you would have to repeat the process every time you need to start a new email if you've copied some other text. So, consider saving that word document and have it ready to use.

TIMES NEW ROMAN???!!? What kind of silly old man wants to use a serif font for screen reading?! Do you hate the people you're sending email to? If I received an email from somebody stupid enough to use times new Roman, I would create a new rule on my exchange server to bounce every single email they send me because I'm not going to look at serif fonts on a screen. It's the dumbest thing a person can do. I just installed Outlook on my phone and I'm trying to figure out how to remove times new Roman. For some reason, Outlook on my phone is using a serif font but nothing else is. Even the subject line of the email is Calibri but the body of the email is times new Roman? What is going on there? Nowhere else on the entire phone do I see a serif font except for the body of the email and the outlook app. This is broken and needs to be fixed. SERIF FONTS DO NOT BELONG ON THE SCREEN!

I found that I could change the Android default font to Gothic Bold and that changes the "spindly-looking" MS Gothic to some less objectionable in a Bold font.

I don't care if the administrator kicks me out, I have a solution.

There's another alternative. Use another mail client that can all the requested. Unless there is a rule from your company that prohibits using anything but MS Outlook. That's the case with me. And it frustrates me.

Unless you have a rule like this I suggest alternative client (nine), it's worth every penny.

You can change the font, the size, set the default values. Also, you can make a signature as on the desktop version. Even add pictures.

There is no need for any workaround.
