Using Classic Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
I almost agree. It seems harsh but this is a pretty important piece to have to mess around with as we have had to do. As a Side note, I just bought an M1 Macbook.

When I try to add a new Office 365 email to my outlook I get the error below. I think it's because of my "Work or school account" which I want to remove. I'm not sure how my email was signed up for this second account. I set up this computer for home use only, I won't be using any of the Microsoft Azure features.
My question is, what will happen when I remove my “work account” and leave my Microsoft account? Everything is backed up on Onedrive, I just don’t know what to expect because when I went to remove it, it warned me about losing data and settings.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi all, I've had the same issues since 4th January when my PC did an automatic update to Windows version 20H2...constant requests for password sign ins, trusted platform errors, etc. Inspired by some earlier posts this how I fixed it and I know very little about how PCs work.
I did this by removing my work email from Outlook profiles via the Control Panel and also from ‘Accounts/Access work or school’ under Windows Settings. I then temporarily disabled the Trusted Platform Module via Windows Settings.
I then set up ‘sign in with Hello Face’ since this is one of the prompts I was getting from the Work account.
When I signed back in to my PC there was no need for a password at all since I had face recognition and no requests for email sign in. I then added back my work email to my one (single) profile (Outlook) under which I already had my personal Outlook account and my business account using an Imap sign up.
For Aneta who asked in an earlier post, you won't lose any emails from your work account since everything is on the cloud. The emails all come back once you add the email under the cleaned up profile as above,
All seems to be working again since Saturday evening so fingers crossed.
Good luck and I feel your frustration with MS.
Hi all
I'd just like to add my experience of this issue after reading through all the replies.
For me, every time the PC in question would restart, or after X amount of time it would prompt for the users 365 password. I went through all the usual solutions, deleted the accounts, re-created profiles, reboots, cleared the TPM chip after getting the same error in the OP screen shot.
What did work however, and this may only be temporary, when signing into your apps select sign into the app only and not the org. This then doesn't add your account under the work/school account section. My 365 apps are now signed in, I've done a few restarts, left the device for a few hours and no popups as of yet!
Fingers crossed,
Microsoft - Pull your finger out!
In my case, after two-three days, Outlook asked again for login information and keeps asking after each PC power on.
No TPM error so far
For me it appears the updates issued by MS over the last couple of days seems to have corrected the problem:
I believe is was a combination of the firmware and #4598291 update that resolved the issue. I've logged out, shut down and rebooted at least 6 times over the last couple of days and the TPM seems to be remembering me as "me".
Good luck to the rest of the community who experienced this issue over the last 3 months. Its been more than an annoyance for sure.
